Through a project to develop the Parc de la Croisette in Méricourt,, the social housing landlord SIA Habitat wishes to forge new ties with the residents of the district and help them to make the park their own once more.
As part of a joyful approach to consultation, we announced our arrival by going door to door throughout the neighborhood, making announcements by megaphone in the street, and setting up giant signs at the edge of the park.
We then invited the residents to an afternoon of furniture building in the park, followed by an evening of mulled wine and a tart-making contest. We took advantage of these entertainment events to gather the residents’ hopes and expectations for the future of the park.
We then appointed ten or so residents as “Park Ambassadors” in order to continue to identify the uses of the park through interviews and observations.
Finally, we organized a workshop to jointly construct the main developments of the park with the local residents through a physical model and a 3D digital model.
