The town of Bagneux turned to Okoni to simplify their family assistance procedures and make design a central part of the local community. We proposed an atypical approach: the living lab.
A living lab is one where we take up residence. We move into a school, a building, a department… to be among the people who normally inhabit the space. In Bagneux, when not out on a school trip, we settled in at the Town Hall family information desk and the annex building of the Town Hall, to be close to the families who use the space.
Immersed there for 10 days, we came up with several recommendations with the agents and local residents, through workshops, interviews, and tests conducted along the way.
Some figures from the project:
13 actionable recommendations
10 days of residency
3 observation sites
40 active participants
6 workshops
20 long-form interviews
