Vibes

Vibes: transformation
through design.

Vibes, an organic and systemic transformation through vibration.

Vibes, an organic and systemic transformation through vibration.

But it is also:

Coming up with a strategy that sets your organization in motion

(Re)injecting a cross-disciplinary approach,” to getting things done, and greater agility and creativity into your organization

Transformation by the tangible, by creation, by hand

Design by all: tools, products, services, spaces for a desirable future

An irreversible experience that puts your teams in contact with designers, ethnologists, software programmers, consultants, and coaches

An approach that is joyful, resourceful, inclusive, courageous, generous

The only approach to transformation that combines both intimacy (who you are) and otherness (confrontation with the realities of today’s world)

Get ready for the Vibrations!

VIBRATION 1:
Bring out questions

Our first concern, must be, that we are searching for something different. And that begins by bringing out questions.

VIBRATION 2:
Seek and learn

The team engages in a creative search, an immense learning exercise that will become the active heart of the transformation. The team put together is topped off with two designers and an Okoni facilitator to provide the necessary tools and inspire the work. Over the course of these experiments, the Executive Committee refines its strategy.

VIBRATION 3:
Amplify and resonate

The lessons learned from Vibration 2 form the basis of a transformation plan.

VIBRATION 4:
Make it sustainable

This vibration concerns confronting real-world conditions to bring the transformation to maturity. The prototypes become functional solutions that are put on the market. The organization acquires self-reliant capacities for innovation.

How does it work?

The “Vibes” space

We create a location for the project to physically exist. It’s an open, bustling space, covered in work and vibrant with projects. It is a reception area for the teams and a presentation area for the entire organization. It is also a virtual space. Throughout the life of the project, it actively listens to all participants order to gain insights and gradually develop a roadmap for transformation.

The “Vibes” teams

The Executive Committee forms a leadership team. It defines the strategic challenges, asks questions, selects experiments, and appoints leaders. All throughout the project, the leadership team listens to identify findings and progressively draft a roadmap for the transformation. Within that team, the Executive Committee is undergoing an irreversible shift towards greater inclusion, more listening, and greater audacity and confidence. Then there are creative experimentation teams of six to eight multidisciplinary team members, with no hierarchical link, independent in their experiments. Those teams are hybrids with people from Okoni: designers, engineers, developers, and ethnologists. They form powerful active units.

“Vibes” tools

  • Traditional elements of field exploration and ethnography that allow us to capture reality: interviews, observation, sketches, subjective mapping, photos, videos, etc.
  • The complete inclusive design toolkit: colors, shapes, models, creative software, food, drink, etc.
  • The art of watching, of inspiration, of journeying to bring back treasures from afar.
  • The science of experimentation to put us in a position to posit the right hypotheses and design effective protocols.
  • Coaching techniques designed to encourage us to take a step back, to raise awareness, and to trigger a desire for transformation

“Vibes” highlights

Sprint meetings with the Executive Committee as another way to do strategic analysis. Creative workshops with the teams, just like in the garage of a promising start-up. Moments to review, see the big picture, and initiate change. Joyful, galvanizing useful poetic large gatherings to launch the process at the beginning and propel the transformation plan at the end.
